The texture in this are lovely and i love the way you have done her pose, it looks natural. The cracks in the well look really good and the little details on the background sort of bring it all together.
I like the flow, layout, anatomy, and textures of this piece. But, there is something missing in the color. I can't quite figure it out. Maybe it's missing your normal palette because it is a dark piece. I don't know? What do you think?
Thanks! As for colors? I tired a lot of different things here and I swear the little bit of red works best. I tired pure black and white, I added blues, greens and other color combos and it just looks off. It needs to be really muted or I need to redesign the piece with a color scheme in mind.
I feel the muted red helps her body stand out more than pure B&W and anymore color just distracts, But, oh boy, it was not a decision from a lack of trying colors; simplicity just won this round.
Thanks! I added the ribbon in at the last minute to get more of a upward flow since everything drags the eye down and with the ribbon in it sort of frames her in the middle. There was a lot of empty space at the bottom without it and it was breaking that flow.
